Last year I have posted an article examining the trends of
己亥 Ji Hai Year 2019:
As we are now approaching the end of the year, we can see how much things have changed. Everything has shifted, and in a way, we can feel that we are now in an enchanted territory.
We can see that the old rules no longer hold, and the new ones are yet to be written… So, where to from here? What should we expect from 2020?
Let us see what the Qi Men Dun Jia says.
In QMDJ, the new year starts on the Winter Solstice day. Hence, the beginning of the 庚子 Geng Zi Year of the Platinum Rat (Why platinum? Well, why not?) is on the 22 December 3.19pm (EAT).
This chart is generated by the strong 金 Metal Qi. The yin and the yang Metal come together and whenever this happens, it reveals the internal dis-chord.
In QMDJ 庚 Geng stem represents all the things negative. It is a symbol of attacking force. In the Taoist Book of Military Magic it represents the vicious female spirit, ruthless and merciless. This year she unleashes her power.
The annual Purple White Star 7 relates to ☱ 兑Dui trigram, Marsh. It is about hidden danger of the wetland, which has the potential to pull things in. Gently, grad
ually. It is a symbol of danger which is hard to resist. This year our safety may be compromised where we expect the least, and it is a good idea to stay vigilant.
Since the element of Metal is a symbol of value in the Chinese Metaphysics by default, we could say that many events of the upcoming year would derive from our shift in values. It will be occurring at every level: global, local and personal. Such a major shift cannot be smooth, as it will affect our economy amongst other things.
Whenever the 金Metal Qi is strong, it has the potential to inflict pain, which is of course, another expression of it as an element. Metal is about justice and healing, and we will see how the fight for justice is in fact, becomes our fight for survival.
庚 Geng Metal is always ready to fight. With the emotions running high, neither the people, nor the governments are willing to listen. We will, undoubtedly see more protests, which will become less peaceful. Same applies to the geopolitical scene.
Most palaces in this chart represent conflict, and so we will observe how the New and the Old, the East and the West, the rich and poor, the genders, religions and the different r
aces re-negotiate their place under the Sun, creating a new, a very different type of hierarchy.
On a positive note, we will see the new:
• Space exploration developments
• Revolutionary medical discoveries
• Living standards across the African continent
• Solutions to indigenous people’s issues across the world
• Unprecedented interest in spirituality
Clearly, we have now reached the point of no return, and we can expect a certain degree of social and political instability. This does not mean however, that we will not be experiencing happiness or joy.
On the contrary, we may start turning our attention inwards and learning to be happy with what we already have. We may find the joy in being resilient and appreciative.
Hopefully, we will learn to see things for what they are and feel more grounded, as a result of assigning the true value to being alive.
