This week we have learnt that the Victorian premier, Daniel Andrews, may need to undergo surgery after scans confirmed he had fractured his spine during a fall on slippery stairs. He also broke several ribs although initial concerns he may have punctured a lung were not realised.

The incident took place on the day of the 丙辰 Bing Chen (Fire Dragon).

The hour of birth of the Victoria’s Premier is not available, and I have done the chart verification using BaZi and Zi Wei Dou Shu systems. I believe his hour of birth is Jia Yin.

 

In ZWDS chart we can see that his Travel palace (associated 戌 Xu(Dog) Earthly branch) clashes his Health palace, indicating that his fall is related to 戌辰 Dragon-Dog clash. It is possible that when he had slipped on the stairs (symbolised by the Travel palace) he was distracted by one of his children.  We may conclude this from the location of the Decade Children palace in 辰 Dragon. The negative enhancer Ji flying from the Travel palace, bounces off Decade Children clashing the original Health palace.

In Daniel Andrew’s BaZi chart, we can see a similar story. The 辰 Dragon clashes into his Day Branch 戌 Dog on the day of the accident, forming partial Earth penalty. It would have probably been worse if the 火 Fire was not present in the Heavenly stem of the day. Being his favourable element, it has created best case scenario. The doctors predict his full recovery.

This is a weak BaZi chart with four solid pillars of the same polarity (Yang).

His Day Pillar 戊戌 Wu Xu (Earth Dog) is one of the commanding pillars which can be found in the charts of those who rule with the iron feast. Even at first glance we can say that flexibility is not Daniel Andrew’s forte. His favourable elements are 土Earth, 火Fire and

木Wood. His unfavourable elements are 金Metal and 水Water.

The 木Wood element in his Hour pillar shows that he holds a powerful position, and his leadership style, as we have seen corresponds more to 7K rather than to DO. The Authority controls the Self, and in this case with the solid Day and Hour pillars, the interaction between them is not sentimental. This makes him prone to accidents: when the Wood gets too strong, it can make the Earth crumble.

Currently he is transiting into his next Luck Pillar 壬子 Ren Zi (Water Rat). Although 水Water is not his favourable element, it supports his Power element 木Wood. This year 辛丑 Xin Chou (Metal Ox) his power may get weaker due to partial Earth penalty and pressure from 辛Xin Metal on to 甲Jia Wood.

The 木 Wood (his Power) may get trimmed a bit and we may see more balanced approach to problem solving from the Victorian Premier who was criticized for harsh lockdown measures last year. It is possible that he may take extended periods off work due to his mental and physical state. This can be seen in his ZWDS chart, where his Decade Mental palace overlaps Health palace, sending the negative enhancer Ji into the original Career palace.
